Terms of Use

Last updated: October 6, 2026

These terms cover your use of the Kernhue browser extension, website and API (“Kernhue”). By using Kernhue you agree to them.

The service

Kernhue shows the fonts, colors and CSS of web pages you open and can export design tokens. You are responsible for how you use what you inspect, including respecting the copyrights, trademarks and font licenses of the sites you look at. Identifying a font does not give you a license to use it.

Plans and payment

The free plan includes the inspector, color picker, CSS copy, page palette, token export and a small number of AI token namings. Kernhue Pro is sold by our merchant of record, Dodo Payments, as a monthly or yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime license. Subscriptions renew until cancelled; you can cancel any time from the link in your receipt email and keep Pro until the end of the paid period. Refund requests follow the merchant of record's policy. A license may be used on up to 5 browsers you personally use. AI naming is subject to fair-use limits.

Acceptable use

Don't use Kernhue to break the law, infringe others' rights, overload or reverse-engineer our API, or get around usage limits.

AI output

Token names and design notes are generated automatically and may be imperfect. Review them before relying on them.

Availability and changes

We work to keep Kernhue reliable but provide it “as is”, without warranties. We may update features or these terms; material changes will be noted in release notes.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Third parties

Kernhue is an independent product. Names of other products appear only to describe compatibility or comparison and belong to their owners.
